Blueskin Bay Community Centre is a good example of an addition to an existing community centre using under floor heating as the primary heating source in the building. The installation was a standard under floor Hydronic heating design where the UFH pipe was attached to the reinforcing mesh on a finished slab depth of 100mm.
With interactive activity (kids, sports, elderly) at the centre, under floor heating provides a comfortable constant heat for those using the large open space area and is cost effective and energy efficient.
